Assistive Technology
Assistive technology is any item, piece of equipment or product that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of a child with a disability. Assistive Technology includes access to hardware or software as well as low-tech materials such as pencil grips, slant boards, picture schedules, special seating etc. Assistive Technology supports students in attaining their goals and is considered as part of a student’s accommodations.
