Senior Citizen Parcel Tax Exemption
The Ross Valley School District offers a Parcel Tax exemption for senior citizens. We offer the exemption using the parcel tax schedule which starts on July 1 and ends on June 1st.
To qualify for the tax exemption and apply it your parcel tax for the July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 tax year, you must meet the following criteria:

- You must turn 65 by June 1, 2017.
- You must be the beneficial owner and tax payer for your home (or parcel). The beneficial owner has the title in his/her name. The title may also be held for your benefit by a trustee or other fiduciary who acts on your behalf.
- You must use the home (or parcel) as your principal residence. Landlords are not exempt.
Once you have applied and been approved for an exemption, it will remain in effect for each year. You do not need to reapply every year.
