Dear White Hill Community,
It was a big day today at White Hill with our 8th graders making our 4th annual walk to the Fairfax Theater to watch the movie, Selma. Thanks to the theater for opening their doors to us, thanks to Susannah Walenstrom for taking care of the movie details, and thanks to our amazing staff for making it all come together. The kids had a great time and what a way to tie a fun adventure into our History and English curriculum. Powerful!
Meanwhile, our 7th grade class was out and about in the bay area participating in their community service day activities. We had kids working and serving at Glide Memorial Church in SF, cleaning the beach at Stinson, participating in habitat restoration in Lagunitas and the Marin Headlands, visits to some of our local elementary schools to work in the classrooms, assisting at Wildcare, and supporting the work of the Humane Society, among other things! Great job to our staff and kids for all their work on this important day.
The 6th graders? Well, they owned the joint here at White Hill and boy were they proud!
