Dear White Hill Community,

I hope you are looking forward to a sunny and warmer weekend.  We are pretty much done with the drizzle and cold weather – bring on the sunshine!  Things continue to roll along here at a fairly steady pace – the spring always brings about some “new” behaviors so we are working with the kids to set themselves up for a strong finish to the school year.  Please join us in communicating this expectation to your children.  Big props to our school bands and band teacher, Rebecca d’Alessio, who have been performing around town the past two weeks – great job by all!

Attention 7th graders!

White Hill’s Amazing Mentor Program (WHAM) is now accepting applications for the 2017-18 school year.   We are looking for all kinds of leaders with all kinds of interests and talents who can help our new 6^th graders transition to White Hill next year and also take the lead on other school activities!  Applications were passed out on 4/27 in case you missed them, there are extras in the office. There is also an informational lunch meeting on May 3^rd if you have any questions prior to submitting your application. Please submit applications to the WHAM envelope in the main office by May 12^th.  No late applications will be accepted.  Thanks for being a leader and getting your application turned in on time.  Please see Ms. Wagner or Ms. Watson with any questions.

Wednesday, May 10^th is Bike to School Day!

Biking to school improves your student’s health, reduces pollution, and reduces traffic.  Your student also gains a sense of independence and fun! Each rider will receive a small prize.

Parent Input

Parent/GuardianInputformsfor class placement decisions for the 2017-18 school year are available in our school office.  They are due no later than next Friday, May 5^th.  You may use this opportunity to provide information about your child to help us make optimal and balanced placement decisions for next year.  This is not a teacher or friend request, and please know that anyformsincluding teacher names will be returned so a new one can be completed.  We want your input for sure – please just avoid requesting specific teachers.  Thank you.
