Dear White Hill Community,

Post Thanksgiving week was terrific.  It's always nice to get back in the swing of things and see the kids back on campus.  Our 6th graders took in the Yes play Sherlock Holmes today at the playhouse and we rolled out our new field trip transportation system (for most field trips) - school buses!  It sure was nice to quickly load 130 kids on three buses and take them to and from the playhouse with such ease.  We hope those of you that would have been scrambling at home or work in order to drive on the field trip are happy with our new transportation.  It was perfect from our end.

Lice!

Word on the street is that many of the lice shops are seeing lots of RVSD and Drake kids for treatment and removal!  Please check your child's head and do what you can to keep them lice free and from sharing their friends with others!  Thank you - scratch, scratch.

The due date for ordering your child's 2017 White Hill yearbook is approaching. There are 3 weeks left! Yearbooks are on sale now ONLY THROUGH Dec 22nd (the last school day before Winter Break). Yearbooks cannot be ordered after that date. Please plan ahead so that your child can be part of the fun on Yearbook Signing Day during the last week of school in June.

Scroll to the bottom part of this announcement for info on picking your child's portrait pose. That due date is coming up soon, on Dec 9th.

Students look forward to this keepsake and the fun yearbook distribution day, and we don't want your child to miss out! The yearbook is entirely student-designed by 7th & 8th graders in the Yearbook & Graphic Arts elective class. The goal is to feature photographs of all White Hill students (6th, 7th, and 8th), and to capture images of the fun events on our campus throughout the year. Yearbooks are hard-cover, all full color photographs, and include an autograph section. Yearbooks make a great gift for your White Hill student.

Check out the attached order sheet for full instructions (use your child's name and their 6º Advisory class teacher's name when you enter information).

Financial assistance (partial scholarships and a limited number of full scholarships) are available for families in need. For financial assistance information, please see the attached form and return to the WH office.

Prefer to order by check? There is a $4 processing fee for check purchases which brings to cost to $42.00. Save this fee and order online! If writing a check, use the attached order form and return to the WH office.

Yearbook Portrait Info - A MESSAGE FROM MUGSY CLICKS- OUR SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER

If you have not yet already done so, please log on to the Mugsy Clicks site to select the portrait you would like to use for the yearbook. This option to select a pose will close on DECEMBER 9th so that the yearbook staff can get the photos in the beginning of new year. Instructions for selecting your photo are below.

IMPORTANT: RESHOOTS AND MAKEUP PHOTOGRAPHS. Makeup photo order forms will be delivered to school soon so that you can order your photos, but the photos can now be viewed online. If your child had a reshoot the CD that the Yearbook class gets will have both images included (original and makeup day photos). You will need to let the school know which image you are selecting out of the two galleries. INSTRUCTIONS FOR PICKING THE YEARBOOK POSE:
To choose the image you want for the yearbook you will need to go into your galleries and choose the image you would like. In the gallery when all images are loaded there is a small blue circle to the right of the image, by selecting a new image you have chosen the yearbook pose.
