The Boxed Lunch has been a wonderful success each year. We need 45 MORE families to volunteer to prepare a special lunch for a staff member. (It doesn't have to be in a box!) Be as creative as you wish with packaging, although the containers should be non-returnable. We will display the lunches in the Staff room and they will be able to choose one to their liking, so no lunches for specific staff. Just make a special meal that you would enjoy, you can even include a sweet surprise.
We also need 3 more families sign up for drinks.
Please sign-up at www.timetosignup.com/whitehill/signupsheet/20026 if you are able to provide a hearty lunch.
You can deliver your lunch to the school office by 10:30 next Thursday morning, 10/17 so that we can be sure there is a lunch for each staff member. We have some refrigerator space and carpooling your lunch is encouraged.
The Staff really looks forward to these events and we can only make them happen with your support. Thanks for considering signing up so we can let them know how much we appreciate them.
Thank you,
Robin Goebel

The YES Foundation is looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to help with critical fundraisers and events this year.
Parent-Hosted Parties: YES needs party people who can help other parents create ideas for and host YES Parent-Hosted Parties. Ideally, you'd work with a team, one person from each site, who can put out the word to parents at the school about hosting a party that raises money for YES then help them get it scheduled (YES staff supports the effort and we have a ton of very fun, creative party ideas!).
Gala Live Auction Chair: Do you like the challenge of helping to put together the best Live Auction packages you can find then watching them raise a ton of money for YES? YES needs someone to help their fantastic Gala Chairs create Live Auction packages that are auctioned at the event May 3 - it's a very fun committee and a rewarding effort. And, we've already got three fantastic Live Auction items to start.
Campus Assemblies Coordinators: Can you attend assemblies at the school and take some pictures or send a short description to YES for the website and Facebook?
If you're interested in any of these positions, contact Julie Quater at 415-455-9209 or at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Mintues from our last meeting are available on our Site Council page. Also, please join us for our next meeting coming Tuesday, October 29th. All meetings are held at the WHMS Library from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m. For all our 2013-14 meeting dates see the Site Council page.
Attention current 7th-grade parents! If your 7th grader is planning/hoping to go to Washington DC in 8th grade (Spring Break, 2015) and he/she would be interested in fund raising to off-set some of the costs please let Beth Malloy (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) know by October 20th. We will be meeting to discuss options and next steps once we have heard from you!
FLO (FLexible Learning Opportunities) will be hosting three parent coffees this year at private residences in San Anselmo. The dates and times are as follows: 10/25, 1/24, and 3/28 from 8:30 -10:30 a.m. These coffees are an informal way to meet other parents and gain support or advice regarding your child with learning differences. Please RSVP to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for our first coffee. We will email you directly with the location of the event. Also, please check out our website at flo.groupcafes.com .
Please drop off your magazines, calendars, and stripy, patterned or colorful socks! to be recycled into fabulous works of art. These supplies can be left outside of rooms 301 or 302 adjacent to the office.
At this time we no longer need any more brown paper bags- thank you for helping generously with that request!
White Hill’s Cross Country team is doing a great job! At the meet here at White Hill, Graham Tewksbury captured the top spot for 6th grade boys, as did Abby Dillon in the 6th grade girls’ division!
