We are extremely pleased to announce that with the posting of our October 6, 2015 Board agenda (more information below), we are now using a new on-line agenda tracking system known as “BoardDocs.”
Last year, in response to community input and inquiries, we greatly expanded the distribution of our Board agendas to include many more community members throughout Ross Valley. Also last year, we significantly improved the formatting and content of our agendas. But even with these improvements, we continued to hear some frustration over how best to access information from the on-line agenda tracking system the district had been using for several years.
Beginning with next Tuesday’s agenda, we are excited to share the new BoardDocs system, which we believe is much more intuitive to access and use. When you point your browser to our BoardDocs page, you should see something that looks like this …
This is our new Board agenda home page, which will be the place to go for all meetings held on and after October 6, 2015. The left side of the page contains a window showing the active meetings and since there is only one active meeting at the moment, it is the only meeting you will see. When you select the October 6th meeting, you should then be taken to a screen that looks like this …
The picture above shows the home page for the October 6, 2015 meeting. By clicking on the “View the Agenda” button, you will open up the meeting agenda itself.
The box to the left (under the word, “Agenda”) contains the list of agenda items, by section. As you scroll down through the list, you can click on any agenda item and it will open-up in the window on the right. In this window you will see all of the agenda item details. You can scroll down through this window to see more detail as needed, including any attachments that may be linked to this particular item.
Using BoardDocs is simple and straight forward. We hope you will find it helps you more fully engage with our agenda. As we continue to use BoardDocs, we will learn additional ways to enhance and improve our on-line agendas.
