Principal's Message
This past week Brookside held its first ever Spelling Bee for 4th & 5th graders. It was a huge success thanks to the efforts of Denise Fong and Jenny Derby for coordinating the event. Special congratulations to our three winners, Riley Berman, Aidan Mahl, Olivia Rice who will move on to regionals and represent Brookside School.
Our school supply company, SchoolKidz sent the letter seen below to apologize for the mishap and delay in shipping of student supplies this year. Working with them was a seamless process until their shipper, Fed-Ex, mis-delivered our orders to another school. They take full responsibility for the error and want to offer this letter of apology. I have also negotiated a significant discount for next year so we can pass that along to you. We expect all orders to be delivered and in your child’s classroom by the first day of school. Online ordering will begin in March 2014.
Below is all the information you need to know about Brookside's YES Theater production, The Wizard of Oz , which debuts the weekend of February 8. I have never seen our student body so engaged as when our upperclassman spoke about their experience in the play during our Wednesday Welcome this week. It is an unforgettable experience and I encourage all students to participate. Registration begins on Monday and auditions on November 12.
